Lisa Young

Lisa Young is a London-based freelance photographer, travel writer and videographer. She produces photos, video and articles about her escapades, which have taken her to over 60 countries.

Her adventures include; searching on horse back for Jaguar in Brazil’s remote Pantanal region; driving the Australia Way route from Broome in WA to Darwin in the NT; joining the Land Rover G4 Challenge recce team on a drive across Outer Mongolia; becoming a stock woman for a video for Tourism Australia; horse safaris in Kenya; riding a Harley through Australia's outback and learning to drive an elephant in Northern Thailand.

Throughout the eighties Lisa lived in New York City, where she worked as a studio manager & first assistant to photographer William Coupon, and worked on photo shoots of celebrities and politicians, including Presidents Richard Nixon and Ronald Reagan for Time magazine.

Since then, Lisa relocated to Europe and now her own work features in a variety of publications worldwide, including The Times, the Sunday Telegraph, Scotland on Sunday, Daily Mail, Sunday Times Travel magazine and Harpers Bazaar. Clients have included Warner Brothers, Orient Express and the GSM Association (GSM20 Mobile World documentary and book project). She has photographed and written about a number of subjects, from cultural tribes and development projects to adventure & luxury travel. Photographic projects include the London Eye, the Cheetah Conservation Fund and aid development projects in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Africa.

Film & TV: Lisa's photos have been used on various film and TV sets.
